The FOT-600 has a source output and a power meter on it. It reduces the likelihood of errors by making measurements at 5 different wavelengths from a single port.
EXFO FOT-600 allows testing of passive optical networks (PON) at 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm, which are three wavelengths recommended by ITU-T (G.983.3) for PONs.
In addition to the network quality features, the highly sensitive FOT-600 provides over 40 calibrated wavelengths, including all CWDM wavelengths. What's more, it allows you to measure power fluctuations with the Min / Max Hold Power function.
With the new software tool FOT-600 allows you to create professional looking reports from extensive tests.
