Skylane Optics, QSFP28-QSFP28 | 100GBase-AOC Active Optical Cable is a high performance product for Gigabit Ethernet data links. Various cable lengths from 1 to 100 m are available.

AOC has technology using electrical inputs similar to optical cable or conventional copper lines.

Active Optical Cable consists of 2 parts as fiber optic connector and fiber cable. The connection between fiber cable and connectors is inseparable.

The electrical and optical signal conversion occurs towards the end of each of the optical fiber. Electronic data conversion is done by optical transceiver connector.
